First Medal on Day 2- Day 3 Ahead!
14 Feb
Just a reminder that we will be arriving at the Olympics in just three days, and are very excited! For now, we continue to follow all the action from here at home…
Jennifer Heil became the first athlete to medal for Canada with a silver in women’s moguls, and congratulations Jenn! She “gave it her all” in the final run, putting her in first place with one skier to go. But, American Hannah Kearney had the run of her life too, and won the gold medal. Chloe Dufour-Lapointe of Montreal finished fifth, an amazing result for her first Olympics!
Athletes to Watch: February 14th
Jessica Dubé and Bryce Davison – Pairs Figure Skating Short Program
Though they’ve experienced more than their fair share of setbacks, Jessica Dubé & Bryce Davison have emerged as two of Canada’s biggest podium threats! The duo have battled language barriers, break-ups, and injuries (including a scary incident where Dubé was slashed by Davison’s skate) but are stronger than ever in their bid for Olympic Gold! Com”pair”isons have been made to Jamie Salé and David Pelletier – not bad considering those two brought home the Gold for Canada in 2002!
Happy Valentine’s Day Canada!
